Petit Vour review

First, I’d like to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has sent me well wishes and cards recently. I love hearing from everyone – it truly lifts my spirits! I’m so very thankful for all your love and support. I am blessed!

Second, I got an AWESOME package in the mail this week! My wonderful sister gave me a beauty subscription service called Petit Vour for my birthday, and I finally received my first package! It felt like I waited forever, but it was worth the wait 🙂

All delivered in a cute, pretty package!

Petit Vour is vegan, non-toxic, cruelty-free, and ethically made – perfect for us fuzzy lovers who are also trying to cut down on the toxins! I can’t believe how perfect this niche market is for me. It’s like they just knew what I needed and put it all in a pretty package to be delivered every month.

In this month’s delivery are 4 items: a clear coat nail polish, a purifying mask, a facial mist, and a moisturizing shampoo. All items are decent size and in sturdy glass bottles. I like that the description of them gives the price of both the size sent as well as the full size. Size and price matter to those of us trying to tighten the money belt, ya know!

I LOVE the shampoo. It smelled heavenly, fruity, and invigorating. The main scent was aromatic orange, but it wasn’t like dousing my hair in orange juice or anything…more like an Aveda salon scent. It didn’t leave my hair in tangles and it was very easy to rinse. The one downside was that it doesn’t lather very easily…for my chin length hair, I used the whole sample, and I could have easily used more. Since the full size is $38, I’m going to have to stick with my Trader Joes shampoo for now. But maybe one day I’ll splurge.

The jury is still out on the Purifying mask. It goes on easily and a little goes a long way, but I’m going to need more than one go-round of spot treatments to see if it works well.

The beauty mist is a great addition to my routine. After washing, I usually use a witch hazel astringent, but the bottle is huge and doesn’t travel easily. This mist is in a very nice glass bottle with a mist nozzle that applies evenly and smoothly. No big globs landing on your face. The smell is a bit potent at first (since you’re spraying it directly on your face) but it dissipates very quickly, and left my face feeling moist and refreshed. It dried quickly, but still left that “dewy glow” behind. Definitely a keeper!

But my favorite is the clear coat nail polish! It went on easily, no bubbles, dried quickly, and 2 coats and 4 days later, it hasn’t chipped! Holy moly hallelujah! I HATE nail polish that chips the next day, but I don’t like to use gel polish anymore due to the UV light. That plus all the crazy ingredients in nail polish, I’ve avoided painting my nails. This will let me be clear and shiny without all the worries of crazy toxins. PLUS they sent a full size!! Petit Vour – I think I’m in love!!
